Our Vision - "Creating a passion for spiritual formation in the lives of future and present Student Ministry leaders."
Our Distinctives - Missional – Relational – Transformational

During the days of the old world when a person would travel abroad they would carry all that they owned in their trunk. You could open a persons trunk and learn almost anything you wanted to know about them. To see values and core belief's of any ministry are like looking in someone's trunk. It allows you to know who they really are. The following are key distinctives, values, and core beliefs in which we hold hear at the project.
Our Distinctives
Missional - Christ's mission defines us. As Christ was sent to rescue the world, so we are people of hope sent to extend His grace, compassion, and justice to one another, our neighbors, and people throughout the entire world.
Milfred Minatrea in his book "Shaped by God's Heart" defines nine distinctives of a missional ministry.
- Missional Practice Number One - Have a High Treshold for Membership
- Missional Practice Number Two - Be Real, Not Real Religious
- Missional Practice Number Three - Teach to Obey Rather than to Know
- Missional Practice Number Four - Rewrite Worship Every Week
- Missional Practice Number Five - Live As Those Sent
- Missional Practice Number Six - Expect to Change the World
- Missional Practice Number Seven - Order Actions According to Purpose
- Missional Practice Number Eight - Measure Growth Based on the Capacity to Release, Not Retain
- Missional Practice Number Nine - Place Kingdom Concerns First
Relational - Our lives connect with each other and God. Believing that no one thrives in isolation we seek to be great friends, neighbors and citizens. Project Renovation seeks to be an authentic community of grace, love, and hope that welcomes all people through modeling loving relationships.
Transformational -We live each day under the reign of God seeking to become, by grace, more like Jesus. We practice spiritual disciplines, share together in a life long journey of change, cooperating with the Holy Spirit, applying Biblical truth to life, and sacrificially serving others.
